No. The UV-C bulbs used in the TripleGuard™ unit have a special coating on the bulbs to prevent the emission of the wavelength of UV light that produces ozone. In addition, if any ozone is already present in the air, the activated carbon/potassium permanganate (AC/PP) purifier stage would remove that ozone. Use only TripleGuard bulbs to prevent the formation of ozone by the UV-C bulbs.
