You don’t need to change out the blower motor from a sleeve-bearing motor to a more expensive ball-bearings motor, because QwikSEER+® only varies the blower motor speed among the three possible speed taps on the PSC motor. The blower assembly can operate at any of these speeds without any long-term damage. So while we do not have a continuous speed variation, we get three speeds which is still quite a bit better than only a single speed.
